Grand Theft Auto 6 is almost here, and scammers are already circling the hype. With no official pre-order date announced by Rockstar Games, fraudsters are jumping ahead to trick eager fans into fake deals.
Reports show fake websites and social media accounts offering early access codes, discounted copies, and exclusive in-game bonuses. These scams often ask for payment in cryptocurrency or gift cards, making it nearly impossible for victims to get their money back. Some phishing emails even mimic official Rockstar communications, complete with fake logos and urgent language like "limited stock" or "pre-order now before they're gone."
Security experts warn that the demand for GTA 6 is so high that fans are letting their guard down. The game's release is still months away, but scammers are exploiting the wait. They create convincing landing pages that look just like the Rockstar store, sometimes even copying the checkout process. Once a victim enters payment details, the scammers disappear.
The best defense is patience. Rockstar has not opened pre-orders yet, and any offer claiming otherwise is almost certainly a trap. Fans should only trust the official Rockstar Games website and verified social media channels. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it is. The hype is real, but so are the risks.
