Yale researchers have developed a new type of brain-computer interface that allows people to quickly learn how to play a video game using only their thoughts. Unlike traditional systems that require extensive training to interpret brain signals, this interface adapts to the user's natural neural activity.

The system works by reading electrical signals from the brain through a non-invasive headset. Instead of forcing the user to generate specific mental patterns, the interface learns to recognize the signals the brain already produces when a person imagines moving.
