Amazon Puts Luna Video Game Titles On Fire TV For Prime Members

Amazon Puts Luna Video Game Titles On Fire TV For Prime Members

Amazon announced on Thursday that its cloud gaming service, Luna, is now available to Prime members directly on Fire TV devices in the United States and the United Kingdom, with no additional subscription fee required. The move expands access to a rotating library of video game titles that Prime subscribers can stream instantly without needing a console or high-end PC.

Previously, Luna required a separate monthly subscription for its various channel offerings, but the new Prime inclusion gives Fire TV users a curated selection of games as part of their existing membership. The lineup includes popular titles like Fortnite, Trackmania, and a handful of indie games, with the catalog expected to refresh regularly.

The integration works through the Luna controller or a standard gamepad connected via Bluetooth. Amazon is positioning this as a low-barrier entry point for casual gamers who already own a Fire TV stick or Cube. The service streams games from Amazon's cloud servers, meaning performance depends on internet speed rather than local hardware.

This is not the first time Amazon has bundled Luna with Prime, but it is the first time the perk has been tied specifically to Fire TV hardware in both major markets. The company has been quietly building its gaming ecosystem, and this move could help it compete with services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now, though Amazon's library remains smaller. For now, Prime members in the U.S. and UK can start playing immediately by launching the Luna app on their Fire TV.
