The ‘Palworld’ Stats To Level First, Those To Ignore And How To Respec

The ‘Palworld’ Stats To Level First, Those To Ignore And How To Respec

When you first start catching Pals and building your base, the stat screen can feel overwhelming. You get a point every time you level up, and where you put them matters a lot for survival and efficiency. Here is the breakdown.

The Stats You Should Level First

The single most important stat in the early game is Work Speed. This directly affects how fast you craft items, build structures, and process materials at your base. A higher Work Speed means you spend less time standing at a bench and more time exploring. It is the only stat that keeps paying off from level one to level fifty.

Second priority is Weight. You will be carrying a lot of wood, stone, ore, and Pal spheres. Without enough carry capacity, you will be crawling back to your base every five minutes. Put a few points here early to avoid frustration.

The Stats To Ignore

Do not put points into Attack or Defense right away. Your damage output comes almost entirely from your Pals. Your personal weapon is weak compared to what a level 10 Pal can do. Defense is also a trap because most lethal damage comes from fall height or freezing temperatures, not enemy attacks. You can survive with base health and no defense points for the first twenty levels easily.

How To Respec

If you made mistakes, you can fix them. You need an item called a Memory Reset Potion. You can buy one from the wandering merchant in the small settlement area for a few thousand gold coins. Use it from your inventory, and it will refund every stat point you have spent. You can then reallocate them correctly. There is no penalty for doing this, so feel free to experiment once you have the gold.
